GREAT WHITE SHARK TOUR
Moss Landing, California

A great white shark is photographed on Chase Dekker's Great White Shark Tour in Monterey Bay.

WHEN: June 10th & June 28th, 2024
DURATION: 5+ Hours
COST: $125 per person
REGISTRATION AT: sanctuarycruises.com
GROUP SIZE: 20 people

Come aboard with Chase on the Sanctuary for a 5-hour tour to find great white sharks in their natural habitat. On this extended tour, we will venture north along our coast to a protected cove where the sharks come to rest and relax. In these shallow waters, we will have an excellent chance to see multiple sharks, right at the surface!

While we may see other wildlife, such as whales, dolphins, and more, this tour will mostly focus on finding the great white sharks. In this cove, it is believed that around 10-25 great whites can be found there during any given day, so we expect to find at least 5 during our tour. While many of these great white sharks are juveniles, ranging from 7-10 feet in length, it is very common to see adults measuring between 11-16 feet as well. At times, these sharks seem to become curious of even enjoy the boats presence as they swim right alongside us, giving all onboard an unparalleled view.

We highly recommend bringing polarized sunglasses to reduce the glare and make it easier to see the sharks under the surface. If you are taking photos or video, we strongly recommend a polarized filter. Feel free to bring your own GoPro/pole to capture footage of them beneath the waves. There are snacks aboard, but since we will be out for 5+ hours, you may want to consider packing a lunch. The weather where the sharks are is usually very comfortable around 70-80 degrees Fahrenheit, but extra layers are always recommended for the transit to and from the shark zone.

These great white sharks frequent this area for only a few months at a time, so don't miss out on this once in a lifetime opportunity to see the real life "Jaws" for yourself!
